Can I Still Get Backpay ?
Yes , The CARES ACT established into Federal Law and extended the Time for Filing and the ability for people to receive BackPay for any time they were qualified to receive unemployment and did not get a chance to file.
Did the $600 Pandemic amount end ?
While the $600 Pandemic allowance has officially ended for claims paid up to July 26 , the Federal government is still deciding on what will replace that allowance , while the crisis continues.
I did not file a Claim yet, did I lose out ?
NO - Not having filed yet does not mean you lost . Since the law allows you to file and receive BackPay , essentially allowing to backdate the start of your unemployment claim, anyone who qualifies and can receive backpay will Also receive BackPay for the $600 Federal Pandemic Assistance Allowance.
